A fascinating insight into the research, science and sheer hard work required to find, protect, conserve and ultimately repopulate our rare and endangered orchids. The passion and dedication shown by all involved was inspiring. It was a truly unique experience that exceeded my expectations. While not a hike in the traditional sense I think we all left with a greater appreciation for these unique and beautiful flowers and the extraordinary conditions required for them to survive let alone flourish. Our guide, Anne was friendly and knowledgable, the expert speakers were engaging, imparting their knowledge in a way that was both interesting and accessible for the lay person.
Eugenie and Kate from Kings Park provided technical info in an engaging and accessible way and were happy to take our many questions! And it truly was a treat to be granted access to the glasshouse. Guides Ann and Lisa were knowledgeable, inclusive and friendly hosts for our behind the scenes tour.
